perspectives.

Perspectives is a place for Boise artists and audiences to engage more deeply with the performing arts. During this works-in-progress showing, audiences get the chance to see in-development works, hear about the artistic process, and ask questions to the creators.

what is perspectives?

With Perspectives, we aim to cultivate a more engaged and knowledgeable audience base while providing artists with a platform for experimentation and constructive feedback. During this intimate works-in-progress showing, two to four local artists show works and discuss their processes with the audience. Discussion is not simply a post-show Q&A but rather an essential element of the event that is woven throughout.

Our vision is that Perspectives becomes a generator of innovative artmaking and increased audience engagement in the Treasure Valley.

  • a space to break down the barriers between institutions and forms

  • a showcase of in-progress work and emerging artists

  • a chance for audiences to learn more about the art forms they are supporting

when is perspectives, and how can i get invovled?

Since its inaugural showing in April 2025, Perspectives has happened each spring and fall in downtown Boise. Applications for future iterations of Perspectives will open in spring/summer 2026.
